Marginated Tortoise (Testudo marginata)

Marginated tortoises are so named because of the flaring marginal scutes at the rear of their carapaces.  These are arguably the most beautiful of all the Testudo species, adult animals being gracefully elongated and having a wonderful black shell coloring with lighter colored centers on each scute.

Marginated tortoise hatchlings are $125 each.  I don’t discount for wholesalers or jobbers.
